Job Opportunities
We invite you to explore various opportunities to work with the staff at the Mount Washington Observatory. In addition to our Summit facility in the Sherman Adams Building at the very top of Mount Washington and a research building in Bartlett, NH, we have facilities in North Conway Village for our administrative and development offices. You may even be familiar with our interactive museum, the Weather Discovery Center, located in the village of North Conway.
Each of these locations can provide exciting, challenging, and fun opportunities to explore weather, research, and museum activities. Some positions may require staff to be on the Summit for an eight day on/six day off shift, while others may require working closely with the public to educate and, hopefully, entertain them with experiences of the weather, history, and culture of the White Mountains region.
In addition to full-time staff positions, we often have "year-round part-time" and "summer only" volunteer and/or intern opportunities. The Mount Washington Observatory, a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization, is funded primarily through memberships and fee-for-service programs.
